Here is the contact information for the New York City USCIS Immigration Offices for Asylum, Immigration Field Offices for interviews and Application Support Centers for biometrics and fingerprinting. They are located in Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, Hicksville, and Port Chester. There are additional locations in upstate NY, for the full list click here.
Your appointment notice should tell you what office you need to go to for your appointment. If you have an emergency and cannot attend your appointment you can call the USCIS National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 to reschedule. I do not advise rescheduling for my clients unless it is absolutely necessary for documented medical or other serious emergency reasons because it can seriously delay your case. If you are in need of a passport stamp or advance permission to travel you can go for an infopass or walk-in appointment at a Field office listed below.
New York Asylum Office
One Cross Island Plaza, 3rd Floor
(133-33 Brookville Boulevard)
Rosedale, NY 11422
District Office/Field Offices: The field offices are where all interview and infopass appointments will take place. Usually the office that you will go to is assigned by your residence or for overflow purposes (if one office is backlogged they will send people to another local field office for their appointment).
New York, NY District Office & Field Office
26 Federal Plaza
New York, NY 10278-0127
Long Island, NY Field Office & Application Support Center
30 Barretts Ave
Holstville, NY 11742
Queens, NY Field Office & Application Support Center
2735 Jackson Avenue
Long Island City, NY 11101-2917
Application Support Centers: Application support centers are where you will go for your biometrics appointments. During your biometrics appointment the officer will take your picture and take your fingerprints. They will send your fingerprints in for processing to do a background check for criminal history. The pictures taken at this appointment are typically used for your green card or employment authorization card or citizenship certificate. The pictures that you submit with your application are typically used as backup in case something goes wrong with the ones that were taken at your biometrics appointment. You can also usually get a sticker on your expired or expiring green card extending it's validity for a period of around 6 months if you have a biometrics appointment to renew your green card.
